Candace P. Keegan Masters' teaching experience in higher education includes art education, studio art, and design. She taught for nine years in public education, including Title I, general education, and elementary art. She has worked as a teaching artist in many urban schools in WNY. Her artwork has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is in public, private, and corporate collections. Professor Master's interests include contemporary practices in art education, drawing, painting, service-learning, and community-based art programs. She has been involved in a large number of community partnerships, including the Buffalo Public Schools Arts Teachers Academy, the Compass House Mural Project, the Grant Street Global Voices Mural project, professional development for arts educators, summer art camps, and many after school art programs and public art projects. Professor Masters has presented her work at regional, state, and national art education conferences. She is a past board member of the Buffalo Society of Artists.
