Brent Patterson is a digital media designer, artist, and consultant. He has over thirty years of experience working in various media including post-production, visual effects, motion design, interactive design and interactive design. He regularly works on music videos and other animation projects for film studios in the United Kingdom. Patterson has been teaching Blender 3D (an industry-grade and free, open-source 3D modelling and animation software) for 20 years. Professor Patterson is an advocate for free and open-source creative software and has presented multiple times at the Blender Conference in Amsterdam, Libre Graphics Conference in Canada and Germany, as well as other design and software conferences in Europe and North America. At SUNY Buffalo State University he teaches animation, game design, web development and 3D animation.
